Tuition charges do not include various school fees. School fees will be included in your invoice
and may be paid at the same time as tuition.
Please note: Because books and supplies are purchased for your child in advance of the beginning of the school year, school fees are not
refundable.
PRE-PAID TUITION POLICY
The policy of pre-paid tuition for Sacred Heart Grade School requires that the parents (guardians) pay the total tuition charges for the school year on or before June 15. For students registering after June 15, the total tuition is due upon acceptance into the school.
PLEASE NOTE: We have had many requests from parents who would like to pay their tuition and/or fees by credit card. The parish has made arrangements for this program, beginning with the 2007-08 school year. The process for this program is as follows:
1. Electronic Payment
Each family will be given a login and password which will be located on the cover letter included with your tuition invoice on or before June 1st. If you wish to pay tuition and/or fees online, you should go to the PARISH website at https://www.shccwv.us/secure/epsgateway.cfm.
Once you have reached the site, enter your login and password. The computer will prompt you to change your password the first time you log in. Once you change your password you will enter the site. You will see the cost of your tuition and fees. You may choose to pay your tuition (Tuition is due on or before June 15th), along with your fees, pay a portion of the fees, or wait until August 1st to pay all of the fees. Follow the prompts as you would any other bill pay process.
TUITION REFUND POLICY
Sacred Heart Grade School (SHGS) has many expenses of a continuing nature, such as faculty salaries and plant maintenance. In order to plan and maintain these services over the entire year, many schools require that the income from tuition and fees be assured. Accordingly, after confirmation of acceptance, they do not allow remission or reduction of tuition and allow either no refund or a very modest one. Sacred Heart Grade School maintains the following tuition refund policy.
Tuition is charged until the day a signed withdrawal form is completed by the parents and dated at the school. Please contact the school (346-5491) for the information on this procedure. If you have paid tuition through the loan program, please contact the business office (342-8175) for procedures about your loan.
For purposes of refunding tuition, the following schedule will apply, based on 90 days per semester.
The same schedule will apply for the second semester.
Students who are asked to withdraw from the school will be refunded 100% of the balance of their tuition from the date of their withdrawal, calculated on a daily rate, less a $100.00 administrative fee.
N.B. If a child is withdrawn from the school, prior to the first day of school, for any reason other than the family leaving the Charleston area, a $100.00 non-refundable fee per CHILD will be charged.
If a child is withdrawn prior to the first day of school because of the family leaving the Charleston area, an administrative fee of $100.00 per FAMILY will be charged.
This policy will enable us to assure space for those families that are most sincere in enrolling their child(ren) in Sacred Heart Parish Grade School.
